I wonder how much a fully mature male Bison weighs?
Fifteen-hundred, two thousands pounds maybe?
That guy was lucky.

The wife and I spent a week at Yellowstone back in Sept. ‘98. It was an awesome place, and they constantly warned people to stay away from the bison. There were even video’s of people who ventured too close and were chased down by these huge creatures (some video’s were pretty funny). If the bison approach and their tail is spinning like a top, they are agitated and it’s time to slowly back away, don’t turn and run, maintain eye contact and back away.

Nature has a way of weeding out stupid people. But these days most of the ones who survive have lawyers and generous juries.

The bison saw the Massachusetts plate and said to his buddy “Time to teach another lib a lesson”.

Ten feet is actually a pretty long throw for ANY University of Colorado quarterback.

Saw some bison at close range in Yellowstone last year. They are not friendly and appear to have no interest in making friends with people. A couple of them decided to walk on the boardwalk we were on, and the ranger who happened to be at hand was quite emphatic about not "trying to get that great closeup photo shot." They really are intimidating animals.

Under Obamacare it’s going to be the taxpayer not State Farm paying the bills for these jackasses.

In the past ten years, the wife and I have driven through more than a few herds in South Dakota. You basically drive real slow or stop completely. Only when the last beast has walked or trotted past do you step on the pedal.

Folks need to understand that the animals in the national parks are not house pets they are in fact wild . Hope the guy that got gored recovers.
