President Obama has spent more time raising money than any of his predecessors in recent history, crisscrossing the country on Air Force One to 175 re-election fundraisers so far in his first term.

His campaign, the Democratic National Committee and their joint accounts reported more than $173 million cash on hand at the end of May, $61 million more than rival Mitt Romney and Republicans.

And after smashing fundraising records in 2008, tapping $746 million from a historic donor roll of 3 million names, Team Obama has appeared on pace to do it again.

"crisscrossing the country on Air Force One to 175 re-election fundraisers"

175 times, in that case maybe they should rename the plane to "Fund Raiser One".

Isn’t it illegal to use public facilities to raise campaign money?

on whether it is legal or not
it doesn’t look lke it is illegal to use the trappings of a preseidentcy
like pics of being in oval office
but it would be illegal to use federal equipment to campaign
hence the LIS of the phone 0dumbo used on AF being a non taxpayer phone

I understand the “trappings” part and don’t have a problem with that, per se.

“but it would be illegal to use federal equipment to campaign

Would that include his government office - AF1 - and his government email account (or his “assistants’”)

I can’t imagine them using their personal cell phones to make those calls while on AF1, since cell phones cause planes to crash ;-)

Well of course you are right.
and we know this lying piece of scum violated laws
but who would call him on it

I remember the press being all over Bush for sending a pic of him in the oval office as a campaign piece
and I know the media dogged every step his campaign made

0dumbo does it and they act like it is clever and fun, to put one over on us dummies out here in fly over country
