In the sequence 1:20 - 1:26, what I see is the the cop shifting his left foot well to the left, a move I interpreted as his attempt to gain leverage to pull her off balance, and then slam her to the ground.
If he had been trying to stop her fall, or was caught off balance and fell with her, the footwork would have been different. The body-slam cop needs to be fired immediately.

I take comfort in the fact that not too many years ago, the bootlickers would have outnumbered the rest of us on this thread. People are waking up to the abuses.

"Moments after Jordan, of Sunland, gets out of the car, officers put her in handcuffs. After some discussion, perhaps argumentative by Jordan's own account, one of the officers throws her to the pavement, head first."
That's an assault with deadly force, same as a strike to the head would have been.

My father was a cop and he told me.......never argue with the man that has a gun on his hip......good advice from bye gone days.... Another reason why some cops don't like the idea of CCW.

What was wrong with what I said? Why should women get a free pass for resisting arrest? Can't they carry a weapon or put others in harm too? After she's handcuffed, all the cop has to do is grab hold of the handcuff chain and pull back and up. She will go where he wants. Try it with a friend if you don't believe me.

For one thing, I was talking about the first tackle in the statement you are referring to. Nothing I said is wrong.
However, watch the video again. After being tackled the first time and put in cuffs, she is still resisting. She didn't walk willingly to the police car. The cop had to practically drag her to the car. Unfortunately, the video is missing frames that would also show what happened immediately before she was taken down a second time. It appears that her feet are moving away from the car though.

The cell phone violation is a fine so what did the police arrest her for? O yeah resisting arrest. Amazing how you can be arrested for something that you have not done until you are arrested. That in and of itself shows that the actions by the police are over the top.
From this web site http://www.shouselaw.com/resisting-arrest.html
Criticizing, swearing at, or otherwise voicing your opinion to the police (unless youre using "fighting words") is not resisting arrest.

As far as professional LEOs are concerned, I don’t think the “fighting words” doctrine applies once the accused freedom of movement, i.e., in cuffs, is effectively accomplished.
The second take down, from what I could tell, was way over the line. Brutal.
And, I agree with a previous poster who opined that the cops acted outside the scope of their duties, which fact, if proved, could eliminate any immunity they might otherwise enjoy.
This does not mean the employer is off the hook for damages (negligent hiring, training, etc.), but it does mean that the employer could seek to recover the damages it had to pay the plaintiff in any resulting litigation.
More cities, counties and other such employers of LEOs should do this. Even if they cannot recover the monies paid out, they can inflict pain on the undisciplined LEO, which would have a salutary effect on their future behavior and the behavior of other cops.

When they bounce your wife or daughter off the pavement a few times for voicing displeasure at being pulled over get back to me.

My family members know better than to do such things and know how to be respectful. So, your scenario would never happen. However, when one of your close family members are murdered by someone talking on a cell and driving, get back to me. You CAN’T control that scenario.

More likely they were worried about the more immediate danger of a highly belligerent person gaining access to the passenger compartment where she has a gun on the seat.
And you also called her a lunatic bitch after watching her thrown to the ground head first, while handcuffed yet.
Amazing what level people like you will do to defend the government.

They were putting her in cuffs and it went to the ground while she resisted, not that violent and all caused by her. No, she was cuffed and thrown to the GD pavement, head first.
Get you're GD story straight.
Most understand, it's government procedure and they're trained to say, "Stop resisting", while they are beating a person into the ground.

That's an assault with deadly force, same as a strike to the head would have been. Oh come now, she was handcuffed and thrown to the pavement head first, because she said a bad word to the policeman. She must respect their government authority, otherwise she pays the price and she caused herself to be thrown to the pavement while handcuffed....You'all all better watch it, as you too will be treated like some mass murdering international terrorist if ya don't bend, give in and show respect to the unionized government mobsters.

Newsflash: The penalty for talking on your cell phone for driving is a fine not brutal assault.

Well if "unwise moves" allow for a beat down I think a lot of people in government are in for a rude awakening. Just think of all the things that can be done because someone makes unwise moves. Hell on top of that if I get to define the unwise moves then the sky is the limit and the current government should leave the country.
You cannot be serious.
