Damn. That much weight though, she’s in for a lot of reconstructive surgery. I know a doc who specializes in post-bariatric reconstruction, and the stories aren’t pretty. Jenny Craig never mentions that 40 gallon skin hangs off 20 gallon bodies like used grocery bags.
She is young enough and if it was done through an intense exercise program, she may not need as much surgery as you think.
Usually but not always...depends on her age, how long she was fat, and how fast she took it off. The biggest problem that people have with loose skin is they take off the weight too fast.
There are multiple ways to minimize and avoid loose skin but in some cases with super obese it's near impossible to avoid.
I have seen men and women lose that kind of weight and not have severe loose skin issues.
If you do it at the right speed your skin has a chance to shrink back, no surgery necessary. In fact if you’re getting hanging skin you’re almost certainly burning weight too fast and digesting muscle, bone and organs.
when you’re only 20 years old, your skin shrinks up more. It wouldn’t surprise me if she didn’t need anything done to her skin.
A good exercise and muscle building program takes care of that.
Not so true in the young and she IS 21.
Recently lost 40 pounds in six months, primarily thru intensive exercise, as in 200 to 300 miles per week on the bike. Well, working up to that distance. When I started, I had trouble with 10 miles per day.
Not 100 pounds, obviously, but I have zero loose skin.
