If we are looking for liars, this essay shows us a few. Amongst the numerous insults the 'scientific world' hurled at Velikovsky, one can find the birth of the theory of the greenhouse effect invented by Carl Sagan without which Al Gore would have been unable to threaten us with his Global Warming stick.
The greenhouse effect that exists only because Sagan needed a cover when Venus was discovered to be HOT - as Velikovsky had predicted.
Thanks FN, well stated! Carl Jr wants to use blue-green algae to make Venus into a colonizable, Earthlike planet. What a maroon.

Funny thing about how stuff stick with us over the years, or maybe I'm just going senile. Back in the mid 60's I was in the service with a guy from New Jersey whose name was Ralph.
