Yoiks, Moose!

It’s still 39 degrees here, the sun is still trying hard to hide in the overcast.

The Stig is talking to the bird in the mirror, and I DID get about 10 seconds of it all on video. Yay, me.

I can’t recall the last time more than two of my sibs got together. Between us, we have 93 descendents and the number is growing. We could fill a park with just us! LOL!

Nothing to do with Annapolis.

Still, I can grow beans here. Not quite that many. Wow!

My dad grew pinto beans in the “garden” that spread over almost an acre. It contained so many edibles...red & white potatoes, three kinds of string beans, carrots, peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, acorn squash, summer squash, corn, pop corn, raspberries, strawberries, gooseberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew, cherry trees, plum trees, peach trees, turnips, etc. My mother canned as much as she could, and the crops are what got us through the winters.

We also had a hog that was added to a side of beef in the cold locker in town, so our meals were simple and home grown. I was married and 18 years old before I ever ate commercial fruits or vegetables.

Did I miss anything? I don’t think so! LOL!

I suspect no one here (CONUS) is surprised by this except for the libtards.

Everyone was remarkably well behaved today...most unusual.
Tomorrow the other side of the family get together...oh boy...
“93” impressive, we manage 25. That's more than enough of us in one place, for the safety of mankind.

Wish you and your family were here to fire it, my dear friend.

I shot off a couple of rounds from the back deck into our dirt backstop, and I can tell you that it is sweeeet! Those .45 long Colts are really cool, but the pistol doesn’t kick much.

They did the same over here.
They turned perfectly serviceable handguns into Drain lids!
I still look at drain lids and wonder what item of joy is buried within.
They don't stand a snowballs chance in h*ll is achieving their desires in the US. GOD willing.

As soon as I got my ear muffs on, I loaded and fired the pistol. It is as sweet as sugar, very loud, and does not kick much at all. I am in love.

To learn to grow things; to learn to become self-sufficent.

Supplies are always welcome, along with specific ideas as what to make with them. Multi’s are so much fun! Follow your heart, Gramma!

A wise idea.
Have you tried Runner beans. Good crop for minimal effort.
Potatoes grow well in buckets, as they are protected from Ants, and drain well (which has been essential this year).
There is a Gardening thread on this site, somewhere.

I suspect when the real intent of the “powers” is made known, the handgun sales will rise exponentially. I just wish I could afford one. For now, my “protection” is a sling shot and a bag of marbles.

Still, I know how to aim and hit a bull’s eye! (My Western heritage...)

I was just playing in the garden of my mind, while being reminded by cold drafts that I need to feed the fire.

The thought of spring is what gets me through the winter. :-)

A day ago, the northern hemisphere was bathed in sunlight for a slightly longer period of time than the day before.

Happy Spring.

I suspect if the handguns had been left in the hands of responsible citizens, the terrorism factor in the British Isles would be almost non-existent by now.

But one can only speculate from such a distance.
