"Have you figured out how to keep the rest of us from expanding?"

Many ways are known.

None of them are pleasant. That seems to be the problem.

This is one of the challenges we deal with on an individual basis. It's like having a widely variant genome, in the presence of a disease organism. Some may fall prey, but some will always survive. The various coping mechanisms we develop for dealing with our uncontrollable cravings will stand us in good stead when the temptations are even more irresistible.

It's going to be a long march. If you think Olduvai Gorge was in our distant past, you can't understand how far we have yet to go.

Fortunately, we'll have non-biological assiistance with our challenges. But that also means we'll have to work out whether we are controlling them, or they are controlling us.

I am working diligently on these problems, by thinking quite hard about them. Think, think, think, as Pooh would say.

TC has mastered it because she is determined NOT to look like a Mother Of Ten! LOL!

Mastering oneself is much more difficult than mastering a car, computer or business. Once the Self is mastered, there are NO limits!

That’s what it said in the blurb under the photo. Haz a big happy! They’re supposed to be in the British Isles and Asia Minor.

Where can I buy a phased plasma rifle in a 40-watt range?

Chalmun's Cantina,a bar located in Mos Eisley.

I've pinged Darks as he will undoubtedly have knowledge of such a place....

The after lunch stroll: the saviour of many a CHRISTmas Day family gathering.
So the Sun has escaped to Norfolk has it?
Too know it is shining somewhere is enough to brighten even the wettest day."Always look on the bright side of life.." :)

Advance whilst wearing a fixed smile...Bayonets are illegal here. :)

Happy Boxing Day. It makes me think of the Boxer Rebellion, featuring Charlton Heston in the movie.

December 26 is the first day of After-Christmas Sales here, but it’s raining. Anoreth’s dog needs to go out, but doesn’t want to.

My big indulgence was French onion soup. I counted all my Points (a lot!), so today I feel fine. It’s not about deprivation, but about making smart, controlled, thoughtful choices for yourself, instead of emotional, thoughtless choices that you’ll wish you could undo.

See how this applies all through one’s life, not just to what one eats!

DP and Tom have gone to get their glasses repaired. They have clutziness issues!

I love french onion soup with fresh baked bread. Yummy! I haven’t had any for years.

Some places in the valley have snow this morning, though not here, even though we’re quite high and we’re at 37 degrees. It’s coming from the west, so I don’t imagine we will see too much of it.

Happy Boxing day to you 'Face, Tc,Ff.
Boxing day:
The Day after CHRISTmas when gift boxes were traditionally given to household employees and other service workers.
The Staff in the 'Big houses' used to be given the day off, if they were lucky.
Observed as a Bank holiday in most Commonwealth countries.

Today is Rain, this has taken up residence and will be with us until Sunday.

Anoreth's Dog sounds as if it's got the right response for a wet day, good doggie!
