Yep, last above ground test was in 1962. Still had 30 years of underground tests to go...

Re: the shuttles: How are you fixed for water? Are there a lot of little hydrogens floating around out there? Moisture from expiration and splitting the CO2?

Tea tree oil is gentle and effective. Since the advent of abx, people seem to want an instantaneous cure.
For some reason, “South Pacific” brings to mind fungal cutaneous conditions and jungle rot.

Tea tree oil is effective, yes, but gentle, lol? That stuff is like turbo camphor. Very strong odor. It kills bacteria but it also can redden and peel your skin it its own right. Caution and a light touch is in order.

Really? I used it for some itchy thing and it didn’t hurt or sting or burn at all. Maybe you used a higher concentration or a better quality....

Does the above picture make you think that the teleportation device reconstructed him with a few anatomical rearrangements?

Spring Valley Tea Tree Oil, Pharmaceutical Grade 100% Australian Melaleuca Oil, it says on the label. I went and looked.
From Walmart, I believe, not very expensive. The stuff will make your eyes water when you open the bottle. It does work though.

"because Nevada was so sparsly populated. They really didnt ponder what the wind would do until the early 50s. By then a lot of people were already irreversibly damaged."
The location for this movie was in S. Utah and received fallout from an atomic test during filming:
A surprising number of cast/crew ended up with cancer.
Truely one of John Wayne's worst movies ever.

"Re: the shuttles: How are you fixed for water? Are there a lot of little hydrogens floating around out there? Moisture from expiration and splitting the CO2?" The shuttles have plenty of power. H2O and CO2 are recycled.
CO2 is bubbled through tanks of liquid illuminated by artificial light. We get carbon dioxide scrubbing and algal growth.
Basically, It would be like taking a bus ride for a million miles.
Emergency evacuation and retreat to our home planet is not our highest aspiration. It's merely a contingency plan among many.
Normally, the shuttle life-support systems are used to support a skeleton crew out collecting asteroids and volatiles.

As I said...in post 568. I’m sure it was more than one test during the filming.
On a Singles Conference with the church I belong to, our meeting place was in Kanab, Utah, and I stayed in the bungalow John Wayne was in during the filming. So says the wall plaque!
