Rush predicted this some time ago. Next will be the requirement that males sit down to urinate.......
“Butler reportedly cited literature that draws a connection between concussions incurred during football and long-term cognitive impacts in his argument.”
So does this mean that all liberals are ex-football players? /s
I laughed but...
your comment is one of those ‘dumb like a fox’ comments.
As football is a rite-of-passage for turning American boys into men, the sissified, pansied, metrosexual left just. cannot. abide. it.
My guess is Mr.Butler goes apoplectic when looking into BOXING both male and female,FULL CONTACT KARATE,PRO WRESTLING,and the hair club for men
Yep, you got it..........Great signature line by the way.

Yeah, our country was founded and built by men that never played football. Now the country is going to hell in a handbasket because manly men are sitting on their couches losing brain cells watching football instead of doing things.
I guess the doctor prefers depression and suicide, living in the lower class of idiots who cannot make decisions of their own. We just got to abandon it all, not try to improve the equipment or what not while continuing the game, nah... that’s not an option.
Another know it all who has no clue about what it is all about from his cave of idiocy and close mindedness.
Contact sports are vital in developing confidence and courrage. It’s all part of the calculated risk.
I bet this guy believes in abortion, antihypocratic medicine, and that there is no God for sake of his own convenience of making up stuff as he goes with his little misfit ill fit mind.
I have no problems with the idea of cancelling sports programs...due to cost.
But for PC reasons “the “moral” and “ethical” thing to do in light of recent studies on the sport’s impact on overall health and well-being”? Give me a break.
Thanks 230 - of course it’s lifted from another FReeper’s comments :)
I get your point, fiter. Bread and circus. I do.
But I played the great game of football from sweet childhood memories, through high school, with my sons as they grew up.
Participating...playing is the important thing. Couch-sitting? Not so much.

I agree. The trouble is that once you grow up, it’s hard to play football. There are other man type activities that you can actually do as an adult. I’d rather get the kids interested in them.
We saw this on South Park the other night.
http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s16e10-episode-1610 Will be released on the internet on 10/10/2012 ~ it’s called SARCASTABALL
One only need look at (and listen to) Cassius Clay to suspect that there just might be a problem here.
This school board member would have a .000001% chance of being reeelected in Texas, and probably would be tarred and feathered for blasphemy. Glad we don’t have put up with many yankees.
How about we move all team sports out of the school systems ?
Parents can form little league programs for their chidren.
Let those parents ‘pay to play’ instead of the taxpayers.
They look great.
Boy Scouting gave them all the outdoor exercise they needed, and the older one can still do a bare hands climb up a 40 foot rope to the top of a gym. The other is a larger fellow and can carry four water bottle crates under his arms ~ shoulders like a Tokugawa sword-chopper!
Then there were the two great grandfathers who tried out for the Big Leagues ~ they can throw anything! Some of this stuff is hereditary.
But no concussions like one of their uncles.
I gave up even the office touch football league when one of our guys broke his leg and was out of work for about 3 months. Just not worth it.
No, that's already here. Next will have to be something worse.
That’s just pride messing with you.
Your fellow citizens are all hat and no cattle. They will do nothing whatsoever to stop the tyranny except whine and bitch like you are doing right now. Nobody will dare resist.
Texas will ban football in ten years.
