Stepping into the pouring rain, her thick hair swept up underneath a cap and rather bizarrely wearing sunglasses despite the gloomy New York weather, the woman went about her business without attracting a single gaze from passers-by.
The first picture of Monica Lewinsky, 39, in public for the first time in a year, paints a very different portrait from the young intern who achieved global notoriety after her sordid Oval Office affair with President Bill Clinton.
But her low-key life may not last much longer amid reports she is planning to pen an intimate, tell-all book about her affair with President Clinton that will plunge her right back into the spotlight.
She's been offered $12m to write the book, according to reports and it is said to include her intimate love letters to the ex-president and how he desired threesomes.
Is it revenge on her former flame? She certainly must have been aggrieved to watch as he managed to keep his family and career together in the fallout that followed the affair. But for Monica, she has never been able to emerge from its shadow and be known for anything other than that girl who wore that dress and had that affair.
There is no husband, as she dreamed of, no boyfriend, and no children, despite saying that she was 'romantic at heart' and that getting married and having kids was 'the most important thing to me.'

I, too, feel sorry for her and am embarrassed by some of the filthy remarks of my fellow Freepers. 40 is still a young age (I married at 39) to find love. I hope it happens to her. I even know women who have had their first child at 41!
I don’t know where you both have been, but this was the best thing to ever happen to Clinton. He probably would have been considered an average President at best and now he is considered the best President (Democratic) after JFK in history.
I still can’t believe that some publisher is willing to pay her $12 million for a 16 year old story.
Really? How so? He served his two full terms.
He's still the Dem party's sweetheart and the DNC's biggest draw. He even had a place at the convention.
He may have been impeached but you'd never know it to look at how he's treated.
1. The most despicable person in the whole mess was Monica's father, Dr. Bernard Lewinsky. Recall that he gave multiple interviews right after the story broke, and he failed to come to his daughter's defense..he all but gave Clinton a pass for taking advantage of her. When my daughters were that age, had any older person they worked for had sex with them, even if willingly, I'd have beaten the crap out of they guy.
All Dr. Lewinsky ahd to do was hold a presser standing outside the WH, and call out Clinton for being a scumbag, and he would have been forced to resign.
2. The other person who is most culpable is Gore. Had Gore done the decent thing, said that what Clinton did was wrong, especially the lying under oath, Clinton would have been forced to resign, Gore would have become president, and he would have won by 10 points if not more, in 2000.
Which shows how funny life is sometimes, because had Gore been president on 9/11, we would have been in a world of hurt. We were lucky..very lucky

Bull crap she was an adult and showed her nasty butt to the married President of the US intentionally to get in his pants. I guess if anyone is equally at fault it is her mother who knew her plans and approved. She's a dumb cow who I have no sympathy for. Regarding Clinton, of course he's scum.

None of us has the Power to Judge her, that is God’s power alone. We, however, can and should judge her acts and her attitudes. To be honest I feel sorry for her in several respects, her family too.
Yes. And judging from her bubble-headed comments at the time, it sounds like her parents had a role to play in this too.
Overall, a sad commentary on contemporary, secular, liberal society.

Also, she is very kind and giving to be living with her mother to look after her and her needs. They are no doubt good company for one another.
Who would want to marry someone like that,or worse yet, for her to be the mother of your child?
