You know sometimes when you get a bad feeling about a game, even though you have no reason to really get that feeling...well that’s my feeling about Florida-Vandy.....I just have a weird feeling this game is going to be a lot tougher than people expect.

#5 WVU at Texas Tech. Last week 'Neers D made good adjustment at half time and actually improved as the second half wore on. Stopped two fourth down conversion attempts by the Horns which (to me) are the same as turnovers. Horns posed a problem or two for Gino, but still 0 picks in the last 258 consecutive attempts for Smith.

On Saturday, the Occidental College Tigers will be heading down to Orange to play Chapman University. After a slow start, the Tigers beat Claremont Men's College 34-21 last week at Jack Kemp Stadium, their home field, for their first win.

New Mexico beats Hawaii to go 4-3. Hiring Bob Davie was a stroke of genius. Davie has turned the culture around at New Mexico. What he has done with a team that is 15 scholarships short and has zero depth is amazing. There is hope in Lobo land once again!

Shippenburg is in the same league as Slippery Rock. Years ago, when the game announcer for USC games at the LA Memorial Coliseum announced the scores of games around the country, he would always announce the Slippery Rock score last--even if Slippery Rock won. For example, if Slippery Rock beat Shippenburg 24-14, he would announce Shippenburg's score first.
