Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimmie Vaughan.

Two brothers, one guitar.

I take it you're a horn player. Check out the horns on this piece.

The Kenyan must go.

I love SRV. I saw the brothers play the one guitar trick at Will Rogers Auditorium in Ft. Worth when I was 14.

Talked to him once when I was 15. Cool guy.

Miss him bad.

Talked to Jimmy Lee Vaughan later when I was about 24 (about 3 or so years after Stevie was killed) at a show in Dallas. Cool as cool can be.

SRV knows how to play and he SURE knows how to dress! He’s the only dude I know who can wear an earring like that and make it look natural.

The difference in the audience reception of him from his first appearance and 2nd appearance at Montreux is very telling. Little respect the first time. Adoration the second. Saw him at the Brevard County fair in Florida after he “cleaned” up and he took a little time to tell the audience of the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Awesome player and I miss his playing. Saw Joe Walsh a few weeks ago here in Reno and he too made an anti-drinking statement. Said he got drunk once, for 34 years . Said it was one of the hardest things he ever did cleaning up. Show was great and he still plays awesome.

Helping keep mankind warm for 65 years.

P.S. Missed sandra fluke at the sak and save yesterday. Had we known we probably would have taken some uh..... protection to give her. Poor destitute lawyer. (Law school graduate?)

As Ray Wylie Hubbard sang... “our Mr. Vaughan was the best who ever was”.

Wow. I used to see him on Tuesdays/Wednesdays at Poor David’s Pub. Best three man outfit you could imagine. Like an adult version of ZZ Top. Just great voice and with those thick strings he could pound out the blues/rock licks. What a loss.
