Congratulations to the Giants! Now on to the World Series. Trouble for the Giants is the Tigers have this gentleman named Verlander, and he has teammates named Cabrera and Coke and even Valverde. It ain’t gonna be easy. Of course as the Great Yogi said, it’s never over till it’s over!

Aww. I admit I was rootin for the (stinkin) Cardinals (what DH calls them, He’s a diehard (L)Astros fan. I am too, I just don’t call em that). Tony Larussa is one of my heroes. (Biiig dog rescue guy. Yes, I know he’s retired)

Absolutely amazing! Just as when their backs were against the wall against the Reds, here they repeat it against the Cards.
GO GIANTS!!!!!

Did you grow up in the Bay Area? I lived for seven years in Vallejo as a kid. I remember Cub Scout trips to “The City” for tours of Chinatown. It was a great time.

but the G's bullpen is better.
Perhaps but can they pitch in 35 degree fall weather? This IS Michigan you know.....It might reach 70 degrees today but next week it could snow.

Too bad both can't lose—watching both socialist ant-American cities boo-hoo would be sweet.

If only they were still playing at the Polo Grounds...
Then John McGraw could be happy about this.

But they haven't won a series since they played in New York. The Curse of Coogan's Bluff continues...

I stand corrected, the Giants broke the curse in 2010.

L lived in SF for 10 years in the 70s and 80s. I love the Gaints and San Francisto is still the most beautiful city in the world. It’s the the liberal idiots who live there that I can’t stand.

Green Bay has a Republican, Representative Reid Ribble. Not sure how conservative he is.

No problem. Try a night game at Pac Bell sometime. In the words of Mark Twain, “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco”.
