I was here in 2000 when Gore vs Bush was such a battle. I gathered my family and we went to every rally we could find in support of George Bush. I hope and pray that this election does not come down to that. That election is what brought me to Freerepublic. Those that were here with me please post up those memories.
This reminds me of 2008 in reverse. In 2008 everything I saw saw, poll, huge rallies all said Obama wins and I was grasping at straws that McCain could pull it off. Today everything looks great for Romney and those on the left are grasping at the straws.

Although the “Sore/Loserman” debacle of 2000 provided some great drama, (Katherine Harris, hanging chads, Florida Supreme Court, Atlanta Federal Court, U.S. Supreme Court, etc.),there will be no such thing this time. Romney by a landslide. End of story.
I concur with this assessment as well.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I hereby predict a landslide for Romney a la 1980. Remember that people most likely to spend time on the phone with pollsters, to have the time to spend, who trust the media and polling agencies generally, are not the kind who are hard at work and don’t have time for unwanted calls. A landline for most Republicans I know is a place to put a FAX machine.
I am predicting that Romney gets 296 and wins Ohio handily.
I am no expert of course but I did stay at Holiday Blogspot last night. :p

Actually... This reminds me of 1980. Romney won’t win as many states electorally, but he will win big. Very big. Michigan and Wisconsin will be in his column and few other surprises as well.
