How many of these Democrats did the NRA give money to and get re-elected?

Never mind the fact that the NRA goes into a hiding hole in the ground somewhere everytime there is a dust up, leaving 2nd Amendment Supporters and Law Abiding Gun Owners to fend for themselves, which brings the usual question around these times. Where is the NRA?

A more important question needs to be asked. As we see so-called "pro gun" Democrats warming up to tighter gun controls, according to reports, we may just see where are membership dues went to those who will not help. How many of these Democrats that will come out for gun control laws did the NRA give money to and help get re-elected? Most of us have had concerns with the way the NRA seems to eager to "negotiate" at times. Usually because it comes too close to giving up ground that should never be given up.

Many have the renewal forms coming in the mail. I'm sure many will be watching to see if they want to give any more to those who might actually work against the rights of gun owners/law abiding citizens.

Here’s how you get off those lists. Take their little postage paid envelope and fill it full of plate washers. Be sure to include your “personalized” letter. Mail it back to the and their expense.

You won’t have to do that more than twice and they’ll stop.

yeah, the NRA hasn't done anything to advance the interests of firearms owners.

OUTGUNNED: Ban on assault weapons couldn't withstand assault from NRA

Seventh Circuit Rules in NRA's Favor in Illinois Gun Law Case

Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (NRA backed legislation that protects firearms manufacturers against lawsuits)

NRA Appeals Ruling Blocking Concealed Carry in National Parks (and wins and now we can carry in state and national parks)

Congress Passes NRA-backed “Disaster Recovery Personal Protection Act of 2006 (so now they can't confiscate your weapons during a disaster)

and it (the NRA) has used it's money to influence the health care debate where a provision was added to the bill banning insurance companies from charging higher premiums for people who own guns.

NRA stops ballistic fingerprinting i.e. national long gun registration

U.N. Arms Trade Treaty Fails On U.S. Opposition After False NRA Gun Rights Threat (NRA defeats the United freaking Nations IOW)

So, it makes more sense to give your time, money, and support to the loser as opposed to finding ways to squeeze as much support out of the winner as possible? Raese was never going to win anything in W.V. and was; therefore, completely useless. Manchin, on the other hand, was at least temporarily useful.

You're starting to remind me of myself... when I'm over at Democratic Underground undermining their leadership and agenda and generally being a fifth column member.I see you have been here for quite a while so I doubt that's the case with you (and I have reviewed your posting history) but, never the less, you aren't helping the cause, you're undermining it. I'm guessing you gave money to Raese and now you're pissed off because he lost and you blame the NRA. That about right?

Manchin, on the other hand, was at least temporarily useful.

That is complete nonsense. Manchin, was and is the enemy, to whom NRA has given aid and comfort ... and worse, cover.

you aren't helping the cause,

NO ... I'm not helping the cause of supporting demonicRat gun control freaks.

you're undermining it.

Good. It needs to be undermined. Supporting demonicRat gun control freaks is BAD. Quit doing it.

I'm guessing you

Don't make this about me. It's about NRA, and NRAs bad habit of supporting demonicRat gun control freaks.

Nice try sonny!

I'm not your son, booby.

He should have never been considered at all!

Aren't you a good little fascist?

Norquist ever even allowed near the NRA

The NRA isn't a private club, is it?

Do you support the NRA

Yes, just like I support the US military knowing full well there are any number of muslim a$$hole members.

You might be to young to remember when the NRA were one of America’s finest organizations

I became a Life Member when Harlan Carter was the EVP. The NRA is still an outstanding educational, 2nd Amendment defending and firearms supporting organization.

Maybe Republicans would hold onto power if the almighty NRA supported better candidates rather than turncoat Democrats?

You can’t understand that supporting an inevitable loser is an exercise in futility. If there was any real chance that Raese was going to win, the NRA would have supported him. There wasn’t. We had to work with Manchin to the extent possible knowing full well that his support would have limitations. Fact of the matter is, WV elected Manchin, not the NRA.

LOL at that. They have influence but not that much. most people don’t use the NRA rating as the single deciding factor on who to vote for. I don’t but I do look at it. Honestly, the Republicans have been running some bad candidates lately. It’s making things difficult for all of us. hopefully they start playing a better game before 2014. I’m hoping this gun grab will help them with much at least.

Nice try sonny!! I hear the muslim enablers at the Democ’RAT endorsing nra have lost quite a few long time members. Why? Because folks are onto the money gouging scam that the nra has become. Once among the VERY greatest of Orgs. in America, they are now pathetic. You just keep on giving them your money, (if you give any), as they count on the contributions of the easily, and or, still fooled to keep their honchos ensconced in the fancy lifestyle to which they have become accustomed to. My donations go to two other groups now, 2 groups that are not that old but that at least have America’s best interests as their first goal. (Harlan Carter? Oh my, aren’t you the oldster!! Yeah, right....Ha-Ha!)

I'm not your son, booby. Nor for that matter, would I want to be. You aren't very bright, are you?

I hear the muslim enablers at the Democ’RAT

You seem to have much in common with Democ'RATS, booby.

You just keep on giving them your money

It's not a requirement, booby. Nobody forces you or anyone else to donate.

Harlan Carter?

I'll bet you didn't even know who he was, did you booby?
