I’m happy that you are laughing! Anoreth likes Top Gear, too.

I’m eating pretzels and FReeping. I bought a couple of size 4 dresses yesterday, and they’re too big, so I either need alterations or more food.

Update: Busdaddy is responding well to the meds he was given at QuikCare. A quirk in his payroll deductions provided him enough money for his QC visit and some meds to ease the symptoms.

*big sigh*

I am so relieved.

That’s good news! I hope he’s able to get back to work soon, so he doesn’t get too cranky sitting around recovering!

The smallest size I ever got into as an adult was a size 7, but at that point, I was anorexic, which was not even a popular condition. (Not by choice: I preferred to feed my son...) It was LONG before “Twiggy” hit the scene, but it sure didn’t last long. I was much happier in a 12. Mostly because of my height and my “lungs.”

However, if you can get into the smallest size for your frame, then I think you should go for it!

I have no clue what I will be into by this time next month, but I’m hoping it’s a size smaller than what I am. I figure if I put it on slowly, I need to take it off slowly. I think the latter is much slower than the former...

He is now on a four-day work week, due to the Bid Change effective March 3. His day is longer, but his week is shorter, and odd as it seems, he gets a few hours overtime.

He is crankier when he is sick than when he is recovering. Because of the accident he had last month, he is still trying to play “catch-up” with his paychecks. That hit him hard, and his rent took most of his last paycheck.

He is happy now, but I suggested the next time he see the doctor, he get a shot for pneumonia, since he is susciptible to it with an artificial valve in his heart.

He had no idea there was such a thing...

The smallest size I can reach is pretty darn skeletal, once I train myself to reward myself with lower numbers on the scale. A size 4 is small enough - I’ll probably look younger if I put on 6 or 8 lbs.

68 here now. The byos are all out Scootering. Tom has been in bed since 8:00 a.m., after two nights out. It will probably take him all week to sort out his sleep schedule again.

Right, the pneumococcus shot. James got that when he was getting ear infections as an infant. None of the others has, since we discovered that tea-tree oil prevents ear infections, but it certainly won’t hurt James being vaccinated for pneumonia.

I started coloring the picture of the girl in the feathered hat last night. I got the hair done (shades of brown), some of the jacket (dark blue), and the plain parts of the hat (black). Now I need to find a deep green pencil for the accents on the jacket, and decide what shades to use on all the feathers. Pinks and oranges, or would that be too loud?

64 and sunny here...

Green things are popping out on the trees and bushes, and it won’t be long before the Valley looks dark green instead of bright yellow-green. (Sounds like good colors for Steampunk!)

I am so glad to see the green...

NASCAR is having a good day here, as they usually do. Busdaddy said the cars were all at the Walmart parking lot yesterday, when he went to get his prescriptions filled.

They usually have a parade of the Haulers up Las Vegas Blvd, the night before any big race. Having the cars at the Walmart closest to the Speedway is a new thing, and I’m glad to see it. We LIKE tourists!!!

I passed the Charlotte Motor Speedway last month when taking Elen to Concord for meteorology study. I hadn’t realized how BIG it is! Anoreth went to the drag races there once, with her auto-shop class from Central Piedmont.

Perhaps pastel pinks and oranges. I need to color those pages this week, since it may be my escape from reality. The PDA thing is draining me.

You could put the PDA in a drawer and let it stew for a week!

If I hadn’t done the girl’s hair brown, I could have made her dark-skinned, which is easier to color than a white-people shade that doesn’t look crazy. Maybe if I go really light with “Desert Sand,” it would work.

The Speedway here is “GI-NORMOUS!” 12 tracks, medical facilities, permanent police station, private well, food processor that is larger than the biggest the US Gommint has, open 24/7, lots of motor museums and specialty car shops, and if you ever come here, make it a point to visit The Speedway at Las Vegas.

The Speed Shop/Museum alone is worth the visit.

I spend most of my time at “The Strip at Las Vegas,” which is the drag strip, but back in the day, “Viva Las Vegas” was filmed at the then “race track.” Elvis was driving a Shelby car, and to my knowledge, Barrett-Jackson is now the owner of said car.

The tour takes about an hour, but it covers all the tracks.

You could make the girl coffee-brown...and put gold high-lights in her hair. I’m sure she won’t mind.

Remember that shading can render an otherwise “blah” coloring page into something spectacular. Experiment. You can always print out another page.

That reminds me, I was thinking of trying to arrange a trip to the Speedway for the Cub Scouts, and also (or interchangeably) a visit to the auto-tech center at Central Piedmont. (Not as fancy, but closer to home.)

I was asked today about playing for a Quinceanera next month. The mother looked a little dubious when I said $20 each for my three Mexican vocalists and Elen, but anyway, when I checked my calendar, DP and Bill are running a half-marathon that day, and I’m planning to take the rest of the family to the Herpetology Show at Davidson College. That’s another event I need to publicize to the Cub Scouts.

I’m not sure about dark brown skin, especially since I already colored her makeup, but the gold highlights in the hair is a good idea. I’ve been looking at some of Anoreth’s pictures for ideas on shading, but she doesn’t do much with human subjects. There’s a tiny person in her “Beowulf and the Dragon” scene, but there’s not much detail since he’s only a thumb-joint high.

Umm...

I remember that! It was usually followed by a very long movie of a polar bear in a snow storm. That movie ended sometime around 6am with the playing of the National Anthem (AND a morning prayer, so you know how long it's been since they replayed that movie...)

It sounds like you’d enjoy the racetrack visit.

How are your jaws today?

am suspecting your heart is beating too loudly.

Umm.. No, don't think so. I'd blame Darksheare but he's at drill, or so he says. And my alibi is that when you posted that I was at church (hiding behind my keyboard - a defensive position that shields the keyboard player from things that might get thrown in his general direction.) The keyboard played keeps telling them that they get the talent that they pay for...

I thought Jersey locked up all their peeking ducks somewhere in Woodbridge...
