Hagel is a board member of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition , a broad-based influential network of businesses, policy makers, national security and foreign policy experts; and business, faith-based, academic and community leaders pushing for more U.S. funding for diplomacy and third world development...One recent report entitled, Building a Better, Safer World, calls for the elevation of “global poverty” with increased U.S. humanitarian assistance worldwide...The Global Leadership Coalition includes an advisory board that reads like a who’s who of former State Department officials, including former secretaries of state Madeleine Albright, Colin L. Hagel, meanwhile, is also a board member of the Initiative for Global Development, which says it seeks to drive global poverty by advancing private and public investment in the developing world, largely in Africa... Hagel pushed UN redistribution scheme,...Hagel has a long history of introducing legislation aimed at massive U.S. funding for the Third World, even pushing a de facto global tax...With Obama, Hagel co-sponsored the Global Poverty Act, which would have imposed a new “tax” on the U.S. requiring the country to add 0.7 percent of the gross national product to its overall spending on humanitarian aid.

Throughout history, many great nations have gone bankrupt through war and other efforts to expand. The US is the First Nation to go bankrupt by giving away its wealth - either to the “poor,” or to other nations. The US will be the only county in history to purposely self destruct.

Having worked in the developing and underdeveloped world my entire career..I can honestly say that aid never lifted countries out of poverty. Free enterprise and capitalism did. Countries that freed up their economies and reduced govt control and corruption prosper.
Foreign aide, the taking of money from poor people in rich countries and giving it to rich people in poor countries.
