A story is just a story and can be just as real in the minds of the reader.

That's exactly what Alex Jones, Paul Watson and the fearmongers count on. It is their bread and butter. However, you know what occurs when the cry of "Wolf" is repeated too frequently when there is no animal in sight. So who are the fearmongers and conspiracy theorists actually assisting?

Hopefully just their own egos and pocketbooks.

I would hate to think there is formal coordination with them.

It need not be formal. Inadvertent serves the same purpose and they line their pockets with the money of the gullible and uninformed.

I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you. Is it really worth that much effort?

My brother loves Gregorian chants....now in charge of music at his church.

thank you for sticking to your morals. I may not go to a Catholic church anymore, but certainly am waiting for Jesus to come back. which, btw....anytime now would be fine. :)

You’ve been here for almost 5 years and you didn’t know you would be beaten up for posting a thread like this?

If you’re married, have your spouse check your back occasionally for “kick me” signs posted there.

If you’re just looking to get a lot of replies, I suggest that you post a thread saying, I am going to buy a gun for the first time, any suggestions from FReepers”? Couple hundred replies guaranteed, lots of neat gun pictures too.

Another good one would be anything about the civil war, especially if it says somewhere in it, “Lincoln was a saint” or, “Lincoln sucked”, either one, it doesn’t matter, it could be good for a thousand replies.

It reminds me. A couple of years ago I was at an African American friend of mines wedding. I asked who they thought killed Tupac and Biggie. Hilarity ensued.

I bought 'em pizza twice actually and the delivery guys never were heard from again ... True story, and sad.

I can vouch for this story of gunner's on one of the occasions. I was there; and so was Darksheare.

Went to Our Lady of the Assumption school/church in the Bronx as a kid. The church was just a basement and the diocese had planned to eventually build the whole church on top of the existing foundation. An alter boy accelerated the process. The kid was in the sacristy whipping the thurifer (I use to just call it the incense burner) rapidly around his head. When a burning ember landed on a pile of those alter drapes. Bingo The church was gutted and Mass had to be celebrated in the school auditorium for the next few years till the new church was built.

Ouch! The altar boys do get a little too enthusiastic with the thurible from time to time.

The "high church" Episcopalians seem to encourage stuff like the figure 8, loop the loop and behind the head, etc. never have seen that in our Catholic parish (prob bec Monsignor would chew them out big time).

One of the big perks of altar serving is it gives boys a chance to Play With Fire, something they all seem to enjoy (my hubby was a pyrotechnist in his misspent youth - worked for Zambelli). But you gotta be sensible about it. . . .
