LOL! In the 1950s, driving down from the Mount Shasta Ski Bowl, an older (20-ish) brother jumped out of the car when Dad had to stop near a switchback, & said he’d meet us on the road below. He was buried well over his hips before he’d taken a dozen steps. Had to use a rope to haul him out.
Fortunately, Hot Springs is in the “banana belt”, with pretty much the warmest winters in the state; and even the worst & coldest snows rarely stay on the ground more than 3-4 weeks or so.
