I see people stating in the garlic forums that christopherranch is processing and repacking garlic from China under a differnt name not true i hope .

Christopher Ranch is the garlic we buy, but I’m not be at all surprised that some “growers” would cash in on the Gilroy name by repackaging Chinese garlic. “Packaged in USA” vs “Product of USA” vs “Grown in USA” vs “Distributed by XYZ Produce, Gilroy, CA, USA”, all have different legal meanings. Only “grown in” is safe, assuming no fraud involved.
This is a new one for me; not familiar with the controversy regarding the Chinese garlic. Could you enlighten my ignorance?
