I’m dismissing the threat, but I think combat pilots know the score.
Our in-extremis forces, who are specifically trained and tasked with embassy rescues, will go into any situation without question. That’s what they do. In addition they could have had backup from as many as 130 Force Recon Marines from Sigonella according to Adm. Lyons. That’s some heavy duty backup.
