In virtually every one of the primaries last year, Santorum and Gingrich split about 2/3 of the vote, but split it in such a way that Mittens Etch A Sketch won over and over.

Horse pucky. Both Romney *and* McCain would have signed our sovereignty over to the UN their first year in the WhiteHouse. Have you already forgotten Dec 4th, 2012?

I will vote for the strongest and most electable conservative who has the guts to throw their hat into the ring and actually enter the race.
If somebody is sitting back waiting to be drafted, its not going to happen.

“No we didnt want either of those two. Instead well be lucky to have a country in 2016.”
We have cut off our noses, but, by God, we spited our faces!!!

Agreed. Key word is *conservative*. Candidates failing a conservative purity test are non-starters. No amnesty, no bailouts, no entitlements, no cap and trade, no public sector unions, pro-God, pro-Marriage, pro-Life, pro-Guns, balance budget amendment and equal application of all laws to government officials. It's not too much to ask. And I'm done with asking for less. Better we endure civil war II than allow the next generation to become "subjects" rather than "citizens".

Some of us realized that even though Romney was not perfect, King Obama was evil.
Some of us realized that Romney, 'Better for Gays than Kennedy' original author of ObamaCare, was also evil. And we were a little more insulted by him because he was preaching in our big tent instead of theirs.

I'll take TedI can agree on Cruz. He has really impressed me. Palin, not so much.

They are more afraid of us than they are of communists.
And they’re right to fear us.

I have no problem with Palin. I say she should be President Cruz’s Secretary of State.
To: fieldmarshaldj
I really liked Palin at first. I think if she ran, the race would quickly become a circus in the media. I think she should be Energy Sec.
Cruz immediately impressed me with his intellect and his ability to explain and defend conservative and constitutional principles. He has the smarts and the fire - time will tell if he has the stomach for it after the dems release the dogs on him.

Yeah, well look what you got for throwing your temper tantrum. You should have held your nose and voted republican, and must maybe we would be in the mess. The dems do it so well and are winning at their agenda - it that what you would rather have. Next time vote, it is important! More importantly, if you didn’t vote, stop bitching, you gave up that right when you stayed home on election day

Energy is a nothing-burger post (it shouldn’t even be a Cabinet position). It would be an insult for her. I think she’d be great at State... clean up the mess at Foggy Bottom. Succeeding two destructive imbeciles (Hillary and Lurch) would make media heads explode.
To: fieldmarshaldj
You are right. Energy-in its current form-isn't much of a post. I want her there to clean house and put together a no-nonsense energy plan that will solve our needs far into the future.
Last time out, she was shaky on foreign policy. I know that she has experience with energy matters, so I thought it was a good fit. Maybe after she brings OPEC to their knees, she can go over to State and help out.

I like Cruz also. He and Rand Paul are two of the smartest leaders we have on our side.
To: The Wizard
Well, then you got what you actually wanted, by default.
0bama..NSA abuse..IRS abuse..Holder..Bengazhi coverup..phone spying..internet spying..moslem loving..christian hating..smarmy a-hole as president..a boatload of liberal judges..high taxes..low jobs..big unions..high unemployment..high disability..lotza food stamps..gun running out of the WH..on and on..
When you bleat whaaa-whaaa-whaaa “We want Sarah!!!”, stamp your feet and stay home on election day, you elect bad people for your government.
And, no I don’t forgive you for your little “I’m-stayin’-at-home!!” temper tantrums. They got 0bama elected in ‘08 and they re-elected him in ‘12.
Unlike you, I’ll vote for Sarah if I have to in ‘16 even though I’m not a big Palin-bot but I doubt she can get elected. But she would be a darn sight better than Hillary!

(We get the government we choose. America either voted for Obama or handed it to him by not voting.)
