Why would they not allow a Basenji? They don’t talk...even the females!
I didn’t know a sled dog was a breed?
Is this because the Premier of China doesn’t want dogs taller than him around. Or was that North Korea?
Banned as food? Or just as pets?
My daughter just spent a year abroad, Beijing and Osaka. She said the Chinese tended to be rude, aggressive, pushy but their dogs were very well-trained - quiet, heeling without leashes, sitting quietly. She guessed they beat their dogs if they misbehaved.
The Japanese were polite, helpful, often friendly, but their dogs were spoiled rotten.
Neurotic, yes. Having been around several family have had, not a mean bone in them.
They are too focused on food. Had one that would make her escape every "trash night" and spend the night foraging the neighborhood cans.
A billion people with a billion big dogs in a city, they made a necessary move. Some of the dogs on the list need to be banned in the U.S., for example, the dang pit bulls. Those things have no more business to be in a neighborhood than does a cougar.
Greyhounds are big babies.
That’s absolutely ridiculous. The vast majority of these breeds, I’d say all with the proper training, are sweet dogs. What happens to the dogs people already own? Are they euthanized? It’s sad that some people probably, if they don’t already own them, would make good owners to some of these dogs. There are so many dogs in shelters in need of homes. Now they won’t get the chance. I’d hate to live under the Chinese government. I know ours is not perfect, but I’d take it over China any day.
Chinese doggie ping
Looks like Obama must bring his own meals.
Setters? As in Irish Setters? Wow.
One glaring omission: North American Wolf. LOL.
There are German, German Shepherd Dogs in China whose owners have paid 6 figures for the dogs.
Those poor dogs. This makes me ill.
