But in Denton we DO have idiot bicyclists like those described.
Always taking up the road, riding two-abreast on a two-lane road. Blocking the lane/road.
Can’t get around them because of traffic on that road and yet they ride along chatting to each other, oblivious. But maybe not oblivious, just arrogant. . .you know the “serious” bicycling type. . .
There’s a little narrow hilly windy road near here that bicyclists seem to think they own. It’s bad enough staying on the road yourself but then you’re having to dodge deer and, now days, idiot bicyclists. Of course, if one becomes a speed bump then it’ll be my fault and not his. Round a curve and boom! there they are. Come up over a hill and boom! more of them. A few months ago, we couldn’t get to work because they’d blocked off the one and only road to town with a race or something. Good thing there wasn’t an ambulance or an emergency.
Where you been? They do act like this in Texas. In fact, up in the Montgomery area it's a big big problem.
They will ride in the lane two and three deep on double yellow lines where you cannot pass them.
Up in this area, there are gradual hills and curvy rodes. Sometimes it's damn near impossible to get around them without jeopardizing yourself with possible oncoming traffic over a hill or around a curve.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I'm not a fan. Most cyclist are cool, but there are a few jerks that just want to prove a point.
