Actually, Brandi Green was not Martin’s step-mother. Martin’s father was still married to Martin’s step-mother, but was shacking up with Green.

Many wealthier communities have armed thugs with effective immunities guarding them. Government-linked constituents in those sometimes brutally secured communities would like to outlaw security in other communities for the purpose of watching the peasants and preventing new competition from them (enforcement of wrongful regulations, legalistic real estate grabs, harassment, etc.). That’s pretty much what we’re seeing in politics now.

That's what the lying media WANTED you to "understand". He was out of the car trying to see Martin and find a house number for reference. The dispatcher asked if he was following Martin, and said "we don't need you to do that." Then Z returned towards his vehicle, and was attacked.

Why do women go places where they may end up raped? Why do they dress to attract rapists? Same kind of questions as what you asked.
It is a free country and we all have the right to go where we choose. It may not always turn out to be the smart thing but it is perfectly legal and never a reason to be attacked in any way, by anyone.

Because he wanted to. It’s not a crime, nor is it threatening behavior. I bet you see people get out of cars all the time and don’t feel compelled to attack any of them.
Honestly, it’s a pointless question, because its not an element of the case. No more than its pertinent to ask why the girl that got raped went jogging by herself.
How far does that place it from the house TM was staying? I’ve never seen that distance reported.
Because the car blocked his view of the person who looked like a possible problem and to see where he was in location.
Before George got out of the car he ate breakfast, then lunch, then dinner and got in the car, should he have just stayed in bed that day?
Maybe he should have moved to Alaska after lunch.
This is exactly why FreeRepublic needs ‘like’ buttons!

As the defense pointed out during the trial, there was a four minute period of time during which time Martin would have had to travel some 400 feet to make it back to his father's girlfriend's house. Martin could have "de-escalated" the situation -- the "situation," as he apparently saw it, since he allegedly complained of having been watched by a "creepy ass cracker" -- had he wanted to. He evidently didn't want to. He evidently decided he wanted to teach the "cracker" a lesson.
Martin brought his fists to what turned out to be a gunfight. More fool him, and all on him.

If I saw someone walking through my neighborhood that I didn't know, I would get out of my car and follow them to make sure that they weren't in my neighborhood to steal from my neighbors their property and their peace of mind.
