The "protests" are underwhelming.
I was kind of shocked.
There was even a poster who said something akin to..."in the past couple of days, I have read more information about the case and I think the verdict was right and I'd like to apologize to anyone that I offended with any earlier comments."
And yet there was that AP reporter, which kind of by definition isn’t a low information person - that tweeted “I guess it’s okay to kill black kids now” or words to that effect.
Please let me know when AP reporters are in season. Kin I git me a huntin’ license here?
1/3rd of black males have spent time in prison and cannot qualify for a concealed carry permit. Quite a few black males have criminal records that include community service and other non-jail punishments, leaving them with a criminal record.
This is what the friction is all about. If a black illegally carries a gun and shoots someone in self-defense, they face prison time under the mandatory gun violence laws in many states.
I’ve been suspecting many of these protests are what they call ‘astro-turf’. Can’t count LA and Oakland. They riot about everything. But the key that’s making me scratch my head: Too many white folks showing up to protest, or should I say the media FOCUSING on the white folks protesting.
I’m here near Boston (read: Blue State America) and I haven’t ran into a black person yet that disagrees with the verdict (and I are one). My money says this is all been gen’d up by someone or something.
Frankly, I think we should be wonder why Big Sis quit all of a sudden.
If you filter through the cloud of ether that the media live in you I think you will find that the every day Birkenstock wearing, tofu eating liberal is only offering the most tepid of support to his downtrodden black brother in this case. Sure their politicians are making the comments they have to but I think the average pony-tailed 1988 Volvo station wagon driver has seen the photos and is terrified of running into people like Trayvon.
Most of the Martin clan are too stoned to riot.
that generation needs help to riot so they need to send in the DOJ for assistance on how to make fecal bombs or maybe just the justice brothers to help with chants.
I guess all those people who expected half the cities in the country to be burning by now are disappointed.

This has been gen’d up by a corrupt coalition of media and politics. This is not about the people. This is about power and revolution. Those of us who have black friends, who have bi-racial families and who long for a color blind society know what they are trying to do to our nation. This is about big megaphones and big cameras making small situations look big and big situations look small. In other words, distortion is their game for the purposes I have stated. Facts do not matter. Peace does not matter..Only cash, power and self-aggrandizement matters. Thank you for your post.

Here in the northeast our cities are increasingly Hispanic; blacks have definitely diminished as a percentage of the population here.
Yup. Watching the riots, they look scary & big up close, but a few yards away the rest of the world is just going about its business.

Just yesterday Sharpton said the case wasn’t tried on its merits but on public outrage. He was quite proud of himself.
They are motivated by emotion only. They cannot be objective when their “racial beliefs” are involved, they always side with their bias. It’s disgusting.
