It happens in America all the time. The only difference is, that if it had happened in the US, the cops would be 20 jackbooted, nomex-clad strumtruppen, they would have smashed down his door, and shot his dog.
Nah... Here in the US they would arrest the money by charging it as having been used in drug trafficking.
He’d never see a dime of it back with no charges filed. After all, he didn’t commit the crime... The money did.
And yes, our laws are just that screwed up...
