Clearly a scared old lady who accidentally killed the bear. No way she loses an appeal. No normal person/hunter uses a rimfire to hunt bear.

"The bear" was chasing her cat and he crashed into the doorIt is possible the bear knocked himself out, fell to the ground in the driveway and was moving around trying to get his head cleared and she shot it twice to put it out it's misery.

Bears [and other such animals] are more important than HUMAN BEINGS... ... according to the environmental movement... That is absolutely true. It reminds me of a Bible verse. Woe unto those who call good evil, and evil good.

DNR? What’s that? Do Not Resuscitate? These guys are brain dead. She’s a 76 year old lady on her porch. The DNR boys might want to look up the definition of “hunting”.

I would claim that the bear’s mother didn’t want to have the bear to begin with so she was just preforming an abortion.

Was it a black bear? Racist hag! Reminds me of the scene from "Shoot to Kill," where Sidney Poitier and Tom Berenger were being chased by a grizzly bear. The bear had them cornered and in desperation, Poitier turned and screamed at the bear. The bear promptly ran away to Berenger's amazement. Poitier responded, "everyone else around here is scared to death to see a black man; why should the bear be any different?"

CNN is reporting she left the safety of her home and chased the black bear down before shooting the bear dead.

I don’t bother walking out to the porch. Just shoot them out the kitchen window. Just remember, just because you can’t see the window frame through the scope, doesn’t mean it’s not in the way.
Other than that, it’s all good.
