I know what you mean. Rush and my husband where born the same year and are from the same neck of the woods, so to speak. I can envision that they might have been partners in crime in high school, too. My husband, who was never a cat lover, came to appreciate them and now has a best buddy, a beautifully colored deep orange tabby, who does not take a bad photo. I read this story to my husband and he said he really understands how Rush feels. Punkin is a beautiful cat, and the way Rush treats him is adorable.
