No, they do not. When we make them part of our families, we are making the promise to love and care for them to the absolute best of our ability to do so for the remainder of their lives. Even the best of veterinary medicine cannot keep a beloved furry family member around forever. It can, however, make their remaining time with us as healthy and pain free as possible. We owe them and ourselves that much.
