The cat is 16 years old what does one expect they do not live for ever.
No, they do not. When we make them part of our families, we are making the promise to love and care for them to the absolute best of our ability to do so for the remainder of their lives. Even the best of veterinary medicine cannot keep a beloved furry family member around forever. It can, however, make their remaining time with us as healthy and pain free as possible. We owe them and ourselves that much.
yeah, I agree. Sometimes it is more humane to put the pet to sleep.
I love my pets and would never do them harm. But I do not put them on the same level as people.
So sorry if I got someones dander up.
No, but some live quite a long time, (much longer than most breeds of dogs). We had a cat names Priscilla that lived to 22 (parents got her as a kitten when I was 6 in 1981 and took of picture of me holding her. Then one day when I was visiting after I turned 26 in 2001 they took another picture of me holding her the same way and put them side by side in the photo album. Priscella lived another two years after this until they finally had to have her put down because she was deaf, blind and had lost all control of her bladder.
