Give the Mods a break. Long hours, no pay, babysitting whiners all day. They’re usually pretty reasonable as long as the pizza delivery isn’t delayed and there aren’t any “boating accidents” (yeah, I’m looking at you, Sidebar).

If you ask them nicely for an explanation they generally tell you what happened and even occasionally apologize if a mistake was made. Slipping them a $20 and complimenting them on their new leather accessory helps too.

This morning there was a thread that when I clicked on it, my request to open was denied and they wanted me to register. It was about three men fishing off the Alaskan coastline. The thread source was an Anchorage paper, I believe.
