What are cargo shorts?

Of course, he also wears mom jeans.

1. They are practical
2. They are functional
3. They are comfortable
But they make young men look like old fuddy duddies and older men look like overgrown children.
I have two pairs of cargo shorts and I wear them occasionally, but I'm quite comfortable with my lack of maturity thank you!
Pretty cheeky of the writer—considering he posed for his column pic with a collared shirt and brown tee.
Oh, and what’s with the part straight down the middle of his head?
I agree

There actually are age cues in cargo shorts. It’s just that they’re subtle. Younger shorts are baggier and longer, with pouchier pockets. Older is a little more fitted and shorter — shorter as in right at the knee versus below it — with flatter pockets. The other cue is the shoe. Young guys wear flip flops with no strap around the ankle. For older guys its TEVA type sandles with an upper strap. You also see loafers with no socks but you have to careful with those or you’ll look goofy.
I like cargo shorts the same way that I like jeans. They’re easy and you can wear anything with them. They look good with a t-shirt, a polo shirt, an untucked button down long sleeve shirt, even a sweater.
I can’t imagine Walter Cronkite being in the company of so many Republicans, much less enjoying himself.
If shorts aren't your thing, there's always Utilikilts.
Lotsa pockets, and guaranteed to make you the center of attention wherever you are.
