I agree. I thought last week’s episode would have been THE perfect series finale:

Walt getting in that mini-van with his barrell of millions. Off to a new identity. Riding off into the sunset in that beautiful New Mexico desert. Cue closing theme music. Fade to black.

Here’s one— By the end of the latest episode Walt has a new focus for his revenge and anger that will surprise you.

They might just be more motivation for revenge than actual targets.

There he was in the bar, Walt having given up and then reminded of his first lost empire Heisenberg is reborn. At least that's how I see it.

It also would be tough to compete with last week’s episode, which was incredible.

Indeed. Last week could have been the series finale. Now they have to top that one.

She can’t be forced to testify but can do so willingly. That’s what Hank was trying to talk her into doing.

I agree. The entire episode seemed to me to be a “filler” to get to next week and the end of the run.

I find this happens as well with book series. There will be one book, usually the second to last, where they need to move the players into the place they want them to be. So, it is a bit of a trudge, but, one you have to go through to get to the big finish.

Although the brutal killing of Andrea really shocked both me and my husband. Horrifying.

That’s about the only thing they have time for unless WW can somehow win Jesse back and recruit him to partake in payback against the Aryan’s.
But everyone has screwed Jesse over so it would be understandable if he isolates himself or runs back to the feds for protection in exchange for telling them where Hank and Gomez are buried.
The murder of his last girlfriend (Brock’s mother) and the threat against the aforementioned boy will be much more raw than the pain of Walt confessing that he let Jane die so I look forward to seeing what motivates Jesse in the conclusion.

I now think I know who the Ricin is for:

his former Grey Matter partners.

I still think Jesse gets freed by Walt. Jesse brings the money to Skyler.

Good ideas. I think Jesse may end up alive to. It would be good if he got some money to Skyler. Did it look like uncle Jack was disturbed when he heard on the tape about Todd killing the little boy or was I imagining that? also, Todd is so good at playing pure evil and looking so sweet at the same time. He was truly scary when he was at Skylers.

I think you are correct because in next weeks hour Walt won’t have time to waste that odious couple that stole his ideas. Wlat has bigger fish to fry

“That’s not the usual brilliant writing we’ve come to expect on this show.” — I agree. The entire episode seemed to me to be a “filler” to get to next week and the end of the run.

Agreed. I was very disappointed, but maybe because the past several episodes have been so excellent.

Jesse's "punishment" was just gratuitous violence, IMO. And the coincidental viewing of the Schwartz interview really ruined the whole thing. The beauty of this show is that none of it seems conveniently contrived, but so much of this episode was just that.

Maybe it's best though, because I am much less invested now. The lowering of expectations is sometimes a great thing.

Nope. I picked up on that too.

Did anyone else get the idea that Uncle Jack might kill Todd? Because Jesse had said (on video) that Todd had killed that young boy on the dirt Bike. Later when Todd made his plea to keep cooking, Jack had his weapon out and looked like he might use it. But end the end - they were having a laugh at Todd’s cougar crush on Lydia.

Jack was headed out to pop Jesse cause he knew and talked about Todd killing the kid. He was protecting Todd. Todd talking him out of popping Jesse is going to backfire.

He was pissed at jesse for telling the cops on him, that is why he told him he watched Jane die.

I think he gets over that and free’s Jesse so Jesse can get some money to his family and then dissappear

If Jesse had just gotten into the car and started his new life none of this would have happened

Hank had nothing, except the book- and Walt was dying in 6 months anyway

but Who is the RICIN for??? I think it goes in Lydia’s Tea- there has been too much made of her tea to ignore it in the plotline now
