Sri Lanka: When the two armed men entered a young mother's home in Sri Lanka to steal valuables, the lady who was feeding her baby, rose and fought tooth and nail to save her jewellery.

Two armed robbers had entered a house in Pamburana, Matara. They held the mother at gunpoint and relieved her of her gold jewellery.

The intruders were about to take off with the valuables when the unexpected happened. The intrepid victim pounced on them.

They tried to overpower her but she courageously fought back, beating them and holding on to their pistol, which broke into two pieces in the process.

Scared out of their wits, the intruders took to their heels when the woman cried out loudly. Her neigbhours rushed to the scene immediately and caught one of them. The other managed to run away but was nabbed within one kilometre.

All the jewellery was recovered. The robbers would be produced in court, the police said.

“All the jewellery was recovered. The robbers would be produced in court, the police said.”

I bet the jewelry is in much better physical condition than the robbers.

Good thing it wasn’t in the UK. The thugs would sue her for assault.

She’d already be in prison, and they’d be suing The Crown for millions.

Could be the pistol magazine fell out during all that grappling.

Anyway, a brave lady. World needs more like that.

Your version is more likely - I still prefer the Jackie Chan version...

There are several autos that the slide can come off of very easily. CZ-52 for example.
