Prayers needed
September 29, 2013 | Buckeye Battle Cry

Posted on 09/29/2013 8:27:13 AM PDT by Buckeye Battle Cry

I'm requesting prayers for myself and my children. My employer has pulled up stakes in my hometown and I need to find a new position quickly. About 18 months ago my life went into a spiral as my wife of 18 years stunned me with a request for a divorce. As that was winding through the Courts, my office saw a steady dwindling of professionals from 36 to 2. Now that the divorce is wrapping up and I will be awarded 50% custody of our two sons, I am in desperate need of a job so I can take care of my sons, myself and my obligations to my former wife.

We just went through what seemed like walls of fire to get to our eventual new rental; no exaggeration. Prayer is what sustained us, and prayers returned an answer. We should all be praying for one another daily anyway, so it's no imposition. :)

As we are Catholic, we have a couple-three saints we go to regarding a big move.

St. Therese [her feast day is Oct. 1] and St. Joseph [patron saint of workers], please pray for Buckeye Battle Cry and his family.

You and they will be fine. You asked for prayers and they will be given. With His Help All Things Are Possible.

Thank all of you so kindly. I have to remain in Cincinnati and in the same school district for the boys. I’d love to find a position where I can work remotely if possible.

I feel sheepish for asking. But I feel blessed for your responses.

God will give you the supply you need. You and your sons and your ex-wife are all children of God. Remember to be grateful for the good you have today, and know your needs will be met every day. Don’t be afraid, just KNOW God’s goodness is always present. My prayers to you and your family.

Praying that The God of All Comfort will wrap His loving arms around you, help you to find a new job, and whatever other needs you might have. Jeremiah 29:11 says that the Lord knows the plans that He has for us, not evil, but for good. This verse has gotten me through a number of horrible circumstances. Keep us informed. It is not an imposition to ask for prayer.

My cousin worked for one of the largest law firms in L.A. for many years until last week. 65 in his department alone were let go. This fellow is probably just overwhelmed at this moment, and who wouldn't be.

I know this may stick in your throat, but in Massachusetts and Rhode Island there is an almost limitless demand for lawyers to pimp for illegals and welfare leaches. Good luck.

Take comfort in knowing 0bama’s War on America has affected countless Americans. You will find a job soon, God willing.

I prayed for you.

I've been out of full-time work for… 18 months[?] now — it is, I think, that God's been sayingdoing I will provide (and Trust Me). So, I'm not going to put words in God's mouth and say He will give you full-time or even fulfilling work… but I will say that he does say that He will provide for His own children just as he does the sparrows in the fields.

Being a Lawyer, I am sure you could make life difficult for the burearchy (or at least a portion thereof) — that there's so many laws means that the government is itself breaking them at any given moment. The problem frequently is that there is no consequence for the lawlessness of the government: look at the IRS and NSA scandals and the multiple years congress passed no budget, for example. I remember reading somewhere that there's a legal principle which makes it invalid to have X and ~X required/prohibited by law: if this is so, then there is a possibility of getting the government where it hurts — income tax.

You see, by the US Code it is illegal to "engage[s] in a financial transaction with the government of that [terrorist-supporting] country" (Title 18, Chapter 113B, §2332d); but operation Fast & Furious made the US into such a government: so then, paying your income-tax must be a violation of this law, no?

Lord Jesus, hear this man’s plea and grant him an ability to make a living in his hometown. Bless his children and protect them from the consequences of a divorce. Convert the heart of his wife.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
