I hope this story makes its way to some MSM, or at least they take the time to investigate by asking for more stories....after all, investigating the actual gov. site won't be possible, because one has to put in actual, personal identity and information to get any answers -- the PEOPLE will just get piece-meal, trickling out, as startled citizens make their story public! "I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 "Silver Plan" and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I "opt-out" and chose to continue along with no insurance. I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the "REPERCUSSIONS PORTION" for "non-payment" of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with "Non-Payment" and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easily "Automatically withdraw" your "penalties" weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is "Free" or even "Affordable. <>
This is either an error or a hoax. I certainly do not defend the contemptible plan, but I believe the fine is 1% of annual income. A $500 fine might be possible in this case. No $4000 fine would be levied.

I’ve seen this before and either it’s a hoax or they mistakenly programmed in the so far unannounced “new and improved 2015 regulations”.

DON’T comply with this crap. Thank God my employer is keeping us on their plan for another year, so I have a stay of execution. They asked us if we wanted to go to the Exchanges nobody raised their hand at our annual benefits enrollment meeting.
this is still heading for universal health care....
so, we've got the income tax, meant to be a very small slice out of a workers pocket, and then SS, another very small slice, then medicare, and all the other stuff....soon we'll have another govt intrusion on our money....once its set in stone it'll never be removed...
dishonesty will rule the next few generations as people scramble to hide their incomes.....
