Scrap? A more enterprising investor would have bought it and turned it into an off shore, tax free, gambling resort of some sort complete with deck covered sea sand and trees, trap shooting, golf driving range.....etc.....
I don’t know. Warships are made for fit young men with narrow passages, steep ladders and cramped bathroom. Not to mention the knee-knockers (hatchways). And the only elevators are for bringing up bombs from the magazine and moving planes between the hangar deck and flight deck. It would take $100 million to make it anywhere near ready for civilian guests. A better use would be to make it into a floating museum.
