Wow, this just sounds so legitimate. I mean, I am completely convinced that this incident really happened. I cannot find words to express how genuine and believable this event is. Its authenticity is utterly overwhelming. I believe this account without doubt or hesitation. Words fail me when I try to relate how fully I accept this story exactly as told, so I’m just going to have to give up the silly notion that doing so is even possible.

You don’t give good service you don’t get tipped. Its not law that we tip you, sir. We tip people because they give good service. Personally a gay waiter handling my food makes me a little nervous because of where his hands may have been and because of the possibility of HIV infection. That doesn’t mean I think the level of his service is any less than that of a straight person its just those other concerns which are real.

Agree. It smacks of a scam particularly when I read this passage of the article:

Sounds suspiciously like the "note" a black waiter says he got on a check that said something like "No tip for you N***er"(not an exact quote). There was an article on it last week on FR I believe. Everyone said at the time it was fake. I believe this "note" was written as a copy cat. Both notes are fake, just as well over 90% of nooses, graffiti, and other racial and slurs are fakes, left by the people who supposedly found them.

As one poster asked, how in the world would the couple who was dinning there know this idiot was gay?
