I took an hour nap yesterday afternoon and don’t even know what year it is.

I remember Nixon’s executive order for year round DST. The sun came up at 8:45 in January.

Only a liberal can take 12” off the bottom of the blanket and sew it to the top of the blanket and think he has a longer blanket.
The sun determines the time of day. Directly overhead is noon.
Daylight savings time messes up the entire system and should be abandoned. It serves no purpose.

Hmmm... Karl in Ohio.
You are near the western edge of eastern time. The first time Mrs. Peet and I travelled from the eastern edge of eastern time to he western edge of eastern time (MI in our case) we had to adjust to the almost-one-hour difference. The first night of our visit we didn't realize the time and imposed on our hosts. We started going by our watches instead of the sun and the problem was solved.
Point is, it really did make a difference.

Stop changing the clock twice a year.
It is either pointless or pernicious.
I just read here (FR) recently that someone described it ---
It is like cutting 10 inches off the top of your blanket and sewing it on the bottom.

Just imagine living in China. It is over 60 degrees wide (4 time zones worth) and all of it is on Beijing time, so a city like Kashgar in the far west is 3 hours off its correct time. At least they don't toss yet another hour for DST.

Of course, school should be abolished.

You know, I always thought how arrogant it was of Our Government to pass some silly law changing the TIME at the whim of the calendar.
I’d have a little more Reality and less Government if I might.

Yes, I’d appreciate being able to see the deer right up to the actual ending time of the day’s hunt.

Two Republicans? Then we know it was intelligently thought out. Astonishing how the Left gets everything wrong!

Out of the mouth of babes: I asked my 8 year old granddaughter what she thought about sunset at 4:30pm... She said “Grandpa, the sun comes up in the morning, it’s light during the day, the sun sets in the evening, and it’s dark at night. Isn’t 4:30 in the afternoon still day time”? Yes it is honey. “Well then I think the sun should go down in the evening.” So do I honey, so do I. I think this about puts a wrap on this discussion,

No!
Nor now not ever.
Im putting Daylight savings time CORRECTION measure on the CA BALLOT when there are enough signatures
We have internal clocks. Pretending that trying to adjust to a SUDDEN time shift is painless just wont sell.
Travelers have to deal with jet lag.
People in general should not have to be FORCED to deal with the capricious reframing of the time of day.
Those insisting on more daylight hours after they get off work...START TO WORK EARLIER.
