After his parents divorced, (his father a stockbroker) Damon and his brother moved with their mother back to Cambridge, where they lived in a six-family communal house.

Damon appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews in December 2006 and, while discussing the ongoing war in Iraq, he stated: “It seems like we have a fighting class in our country that’s comprised of people who have to go for financial reasons... I don’t think that that is fair. If you’re gonna send people to war... then that needs to be shared by everybody, you know, and if the president has daughters who are of age then maybe they should go too.”

DAMON: Well, because I, you know, because I want the public schools to, if they were, if they went back to, if I could find my, the private school that I send my kids to is the thing closest to the public school that I went to that I could find. And that’s why I send my kids to private school. I wish I didn’t have to, it’s expensive, and I also want my kids to be part of a, you know, their local community, you know, and not have to commute to somewhere else to go to school.

Wait, is that even English..not a surprise, most actors don’t have brains anyway so he fits in perfectly

And what does Matt Damon and the Tsarnaev brothers have in common? An extreme lefty private school known as Cambridge Latin that spawns freaks like Damon and killers like the brothers.

The *real* reason probably is he wants his kids to remain heterosexual. He probably wants grandbabies.

Damon and Affleck attended elite Cambridge Rindge and Latin School....Damon 1988 grad Affleck 1990.
“During the late 1980s and early 1990s, the school was subject to multiple accusations of inherent racism in its infrastructure, which led to the disbanding of the original houses, as well as the changing of the original school mascot from a bust of a Native American to a yellowjacket, and eventually to the currently used falcon.”
Wikipedia.
Boston was the one of most racist town in the country. The city was 70 % White and the schools were 70% black except for the “elite’ schools who could willow out the uppity Blacks. Today, with diversity these “elite” schools SATs are no better than average.

Obama attended Punahou in Honolulu. Their kindergarten cost more the a 4 yr state university tuition. Then on to Occidental, Harvard & Columbia. & Obama’s kids aren’t exactly attending public schools. What nonsense, I can’t stand liberal millionaire actors and their completely phony and ignorant rants!!

Another liberal myth, i.e., lie, is that “W” was intellectually “uncurious” and never read a book in his adult life. In fact, he was and is an avid reader who reads about a book a week. He has also taken up painting in recent years, and his work isn’t all that bad for a relative newcomer. If “O” were a painter, everyone would be fawning over it and talking like it was further proof of his genius.

Matt Damon’s politics owe a great deal to his mother. The first time Nancy Carlsson-Paige saw her son featured in a glossy magazine, she was appalled. “My beautiful boy is being used to sell products,” she told a newspaper. “He is just a cog in the capitalist system.” She’d never even read a magazine like Vanity Fair before, her son explains. “She’s a professor. If it’s not the Nation, she doesn’t read it. And she said, ‘This thing is nothing but page after page of adverts for products that nobody needs!’” He chuckles. I’d love to know what his mother makes of his latest film, Elysium, a big-budget sci-fi action thriller packed with set-piece fights and expensive pyrotechnic violence. “Hmm, well, my mom’s big on non-violent conflict resolution,” he grins.

Damon has travelled a long way from the Boston commune where he grew up in the 70s and 80s among five other families who were, if not quite hippies, then firmly on the countercultural left. Today he is one of cinema’s all-time highest-grossing leading men, voted World’s Sexiest Man by People magazine, with his own star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. A father of four (three daughters, aged seven, five and three, and a stepdaughter, 15), this summer he is moving his family from New York to Los Angeles, and the challenge of giving them a childhood that remotely resembles the one he enjoyed is about to get even harder.

Choosing a school has already presented a major moral dilemma. “Sending our kids in my family to private school was a big, big, big deal. And it was a giant family discussion. But it was a circular conversation, really, because ultimately we don’t have a choice. I mean, I pay for a private education and I’m trying to get the one that most matches the public education that I had, but that kind of progressive education no longer exists in the public system. It’s unfair.” Damon has campaigned against teachers’ pay being pegged to children’s test results: “So we agitate about those things, and try to change them, and try to change the policy, but you know, it’s a tough one.”

I think he might be trying to stuff himself *back* into the closet, but that’s just me and watching what his soulmate Ben Affleck has been doing lately.

Damon is damned lucky to be in his position - he has average looks and zero charisma. I really don’t understand how he became a marquee performer.
