Is that a Pentagram within the American Flag pin?

Am I seeing things? If not, is this a pin that is worn frequently. Is there a reason for the pentagram? Respect for the Jewish State? /s Not sure what to think of it. I did not go on a search to look for similar pins.

I no fan of Barack Obama, but this is a bit of a stretch. He would not give himself away by wearing a pin with a pentagram on it to a public event where it could be photographed, as well as be seen by those in attendance.

It is probably a pro-law enforcement pin with a star and circle (sheriff’s star). I would rather take the chief law enforcement officer of our nation to task for being so hypocritical in wearing the pin while undermining the enforcement of our laws.

In the original story photo, there’s nothing there but stripes. It may just be a shadow, reflection, or photographic effect.
