Canadian photographer François Brunelle is on a mission to find 200 doppelgängers around the world. "It is not about looking like famous people," his website explains. "The fact that two persons, totally unrelated to each other, sometimes born in different countries, share the same physical appearance is really the essence of the project."

OK. You win.
A few years ago I found out I have my own doppelganger who is a famous person. A couple of people independently told me that I look like a guy on a TV show called "Law and Order." Since I had not seen that show, I had to look up who it was they were talking about. It turns out it's an actor by the name of Vincent D'Onofrio. I looked at some of his pictures--depending on the photo and the age and the beard--and I could see the resemblance, as in these pictures of him:
There are other photos of D'Onofrio where he doesn't look as much like me, but in these ones he does.
The other person I looked a lot like at one point in my life was the late wrestler Randy "Macho Man" Savage:
One Halloween about 25 years ago I went out to a party as him, and there were kids who thought I actually was him.
‘Roscoe, you’ll enjoy this’ ping ...
My stomach hurts.
Very sorry to hear your story. But it illustrates exactly what I was talking about.
Scientists are able to map “gene expression”.
That means whether or not a particular gene is turned on or off.
In studies of identical twins, it seems to depend on age.
As babies/infants, scientists have found that mapping the gene expression shows that 99.99% plus of the same genes are either turned on or off in both twins, in ither words, they match almost exactly.
As time goes on, and especially after puberty, their gene expression profile tends to diverge. True, the profiles never diverge very much, but it is not at all a rare event tio find a gene turned on in one twin, but never activated in the other.
And even a single gene sometimes being turned on or off can be the cause or the cure for a disease.
It’s an exciting field, with much to learn.
Once again, sorry for your loss.
Just Damn. That's uncanny.
Charles, I hope you ONLY look like D’Onofrio.....
The guy is a complete Drama Queen MOONBAT FREAK.
PS
RIP Macho Man
It is already!
Leni
Thanks for the ping!
Wow! You DO look like Elvis!
So you look like this when you get a crewcut?
Consider this, whenever you see Superman pushing a whole planet in the comics, somewhere on that world to someone it looks like he's just doing a handstand.
Although in this one, they show him putting his shoulder into it, which then makes it look like he's falling down.
