they were taking elements from the comic, not following it.
Tyreese was the one that got the Katana. Hershel was shot and Beth died.
There was a tank, but no shells. However, this episode was about as close to the comic storyline than any of them.

Anybody else notice Clara (crazy Irish woods chick from earlier in the season)? I thought that was her as a zombie towards the end of the episode. They just confirmed that was her on the Talking Dead.

I wish this show would case celebrities as zombies every now and then. Perhaps that would take away from the environment of the show. Also wish they’d note that Tyrese was an NFL player, like in the comic.

Yes, Lizzie! When she started talking about guns, I was sure she was going to accidentally kill Maggie or some one else on “our” side! Glad she came through... Still wondering about that thing Tyrese was showing Daryll and Rick before all hell broke loose... Someone’s REALLY losing it, or so was the implication, and it being Lizzie may be a bit to obvious...

Not to get all nerdy on you, but his character’s brain was infused with an infostamp that the Cybermen had on Doctor Who. Wasn’t that he went nuts from grief. But great episode.

A prison like that is part of the reason why I think more people would survive a zombie apocalypse than depicted on the show/other media. Also factor in all of the gated communities and homes in Florida and California, with built-in panic rooms. Perhaps getting supplies would become a problem after a month.
