First men became enamoured with grooming regimes, but now it seems the metrosexual man has started talking in a more feminine way too.
A new study has revealed that modern men are starting to ‘uptalk’ by rising in pitch at the ends of sentences.
The speech pattern is associated with young women from southern California, notably Clueless lead character Cher Horowitz, but is now common amongst younger people.

I just got a new planer in yesterday (helical carbide cutter head- I’m so excited to go try it out!), then came home from a full day of work and made dinner, so that it was ready when the wife came home from work. Didn’t whine about any of it- but then, I’m quite a bit over 35 :)

I found that the man who does the shopping gets to pick what’s for dinner, and if he cooks it too, he gets to decide how it is served.
But, now I’m cooking for just myself — it’s hard to get motivated to do much more than open a can.

Well now, if “uptalking” is mainly just a way to socialize with a group and thereby get girls, I can sympathize with the young men — being as how I once was young and wanted to get girls!
The vocal uplift, while annoying, isn’t half as bad as faggotspeak with the exaggerated effeminate lisp. I absolutely cannot tolerate listening to that and don’t care who it is — the channel (or station) gets changed immediately. I also notice that there are more and more of these, err, persons who are being utilized for commercials. Disgusting. It wouldn’t matter if they were selling Bentleys for $2.95 — I still wouldn’t listen to them.
Considering how many accents there are, I’ll say that higher pitch doesn’t mean the pussification of men. Males that talk like the clueless characters however - dat’s another story.
And whiskey.
She can wear high heels with pointed toes. They DO make the legs look better.
Then, when she's older she can deal with the bad back from the high heels and buy the toe separators because of the pointed toed shoes that mis-formed her feet. Whatever she likes.
She can have whatever color hair she wants. Then when/if she over-dyes/bleaches it and it starts to fall out, she can buy a wig.
All for beauty.
Better to find friends and husband who thinks she's beautiful AS IS. My husband thought I was beautiful as is..and yes, I did ask him if he had some vision problem. We both laughed.
