Thanks,
I made it earlier this year, before the Snowden/IRS/NSA stuff really hit the news.
I’m not very well connected in the “Social landscape”, and even try to avoid it.
It would be cool if someone could push this out.

Push will come to shove at some point.
Yes it will. Hence my tagline.

SIGs are terrific pistols. That would be anybody's first choice. But for those who can't afford one and just needs something cheaper for self-protection, a Hi-Point is not a bad choice. They usually go BANG and also work well as a club if one runs out of ammo. They also have a lifetime guarantee for any owner.
I don't own one, but I am glad they are around and available. I just might pick one up as a "spare", just to piss off the gun grabbers.

It fires just fine, never had a problem with it. Around $150, unlimited lifetime transferable no-cost warranty and manufactured in the United States. Kill you just as dead as that Sig Sauer. Pretty? Nope. Kinda heavy? Sure.

My late father came **this** close to being killed in the Watts riots. Big mess.

“Okay. W”hat kind of firearm is that?
Looks like a Hi-Point 9mm. I had the .40 cal version. Lost it in a boating accident, unfortunately. Fortunately, it wasn’t too expensive.
Inexpensive gun (~$179 .40 cal)
Heavy as a boat anchor
Great sights
Accurate as heck right out of the box
Goes “Bang” every time you pull the trigger.
Loves cheap ammo.
If you don’t have money for a “real” gun (as some other gun folk say), get a Hi-Point. The gun is so ugly, just looking down the barrel of it will scare a perp to death.
If you get a Hi-Point 9mm carbine as is pictured in an earlier post, magazines are interchangeable.
Oh, and no charge for factory repairs for the life of the gun, regardless which owner you are. Send it in and they’ll fix it for you and may include an extra magazine when they send it back.

>>Two weeks after any kind of SHTF, there WILL be cannibalism.<<
What reason would you have to doubt that he was not correct. The religious morals are at a low in America. Cheating, stealing and lying are considered the norm amongst many people at all levels. When there is no food to be had, cannibalism is to be expected. First will be the consumption of domestic animals and pets, then the people.
