Well, let me say that GLAAD (an acronym that means nothing like what they stand for) is again pushing the envelope for political correctness! That alone ought to welcome you into the world of normal!

To agree with GLAAD is to agree to suppress free speech, push the GAY agenda, shut up and agree or get demonized by both the media and their agenda driven group (Yes, 90% of media are in sympathy - today). Or...you can continue and lose money, get publicized by GLAAD, get picketed, and your business just might go under. That is called blackmailing under most other schemes but today, it is called advocate pressure.

I call it blackmail and enforced by today’s media!

Not that it will matter to some Freepers, but someone once said "It is better to light a lamp than curse the darkness." How can you expect to fight the enemy if you don't know who they are? Wikipedia is a good 2nd stop on the internet for basic information on most things even in this fast paced society. Yes, Wikipedia entries can be very biased and incomplete. But you have to figure that out on your own over time - its called wisdom.

GLAAD (formerly the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) is a U.S. non-governmental media monitoring organization which promotes the image of LGBT people in the media. Before March 2013, the name "GLAAD" had been an acronym for "Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation," but became the primary name due to its inclusiveness of bisexual and transgender issues. It was founded in 1985 and its HQ is in NYC.

Back on 3/17/2013 GLAAD hosted its 24th GLAAD Media Awards ceremony in NYC where 54 year-old pop diva Madonna wore a Cub Scout uniform to present CNN's Anderson Cooper with the Vito Russo Award, which goes to an openly gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality.

Conservative volunteers in the BSA have known of GLAAD for some time now. GLAAD played a significant role and getting the BSA to change its membership rule to admit open homosexual youths into Scouting.
