Hogwash! Soccer flourishes because it is inexpensive to play.

Soccer was pushed in the US in the 70s because libs thought it would give girls a stage on which to go head to head against boys. In spite of all the effort put into it for four decades it is still a wimp sport and for most young boys it holds little interest.

Add to that the "everyone gets a trophy" and "no keeping score" garbage and it's easy to see why it's a continued loser. I hate to offend any soccer fans but, to me it just plain looks wimpy no matter how they try to build it up.
