And I never said anything about Caleb’s win!! I am very happy for him! He is extremely talented. I think his success will depend upon his music. He has only done covers on Idol so I don’t know if he writes or if he will have good songwriters. It will be important for him to gain some maturity as well as some more connection with his songs and audience. He was “good enough” on the connections on Idol, but when he gets into it more, and he will, he will be better.
I hope he doesn’t touch the cocaine and hookers and just works on his music. He is blessed with a Great voice and probably his medical bills are all paid for by Idol so he will learn how to sing rock and still spare his cords.
I hope his family, which seems somewhat dysfunctional, keeps out of his hair re finances. And I wish him great success! I’d love to see him live. Not convinced I want to hear ANY of the other idols live, though. If they don’t start the Idol Tour in LA, maybe after I hear how much of the concert is Caleb, I’d go. It would be best if they did all the others before intermission, and just Caleb after, so you could just arrive late!
Fun year, and I enjoyed each time Caleb sang. My big boys even did. They are into heavy rock and metal music. And they even approved of our little Meat Loaf. Stay out of the tabloids, Caleb!

I have been to a couple of AI concerts and they generally go in order from number 10 down to the winner and the winner sings maybe one more song than the others...but it has been a long time since I attended and they may have changed it up a bit.

Things are going pretty well. You guys would have died at this interview I had the other day. I should tell you on PM, but it was awful (hilarious). The place was just terrible. It was small and everyone seemed to like me until the CEO came in and was every douche "bro" stereotype known to exist. In addition to being a walking douche joke, he asked me some really illegal interview questions including...are you ready.....if I was a lesbian! I am NOT joking.
Now I am Facebook friends with a few people from this thread and I think they will pretty much assure you that I do not give off a lez-b-friends kind of vibe.
So the job search goes on, but I feel really good about things overall...and so does my girlfriend (kidding). :-)

That was embarrassing. After a whole season of his over-analyzing and deadly serious judging, he gets out there and sounds like some Idol reject. I couldn't even call that "pitchy". There was no pitch at all.
There are no words I can type that would convey how much you and your friendship means to me. But what you said comes very close.

Not always ... I don't know when they started handing out the trophy. Maybe three or four seasons ago.
Finally, I read that the judges portion was pre-taped. I cannot believe the judge would sign off on that trainwreck if they had their eyes wide open.
Horrible except for Keith and Randy and I'm sure they were having a herd of cows. Harry and Jlo - what's wrong witch u two?
