How many people do those 85 individuals employ? Funny that they don’t tell you that, huh?

People working in teams achieve more, than working individually. A team needs a leader, so we have 85 leaders and 85 teams. I see no problem with all this state-of-the-things until the 85 have adequate merits.

3.5 billion of the poorest people

Counting the poorest doesn't exactly set a high bar, does it?

When I was a child this sort of anti-wealth screed sounded sensible.

But then I grew up.

The combined wealth of the world’s richest 85 people is now equivalent to that owned by half of the world’s population—or 3.5 billion of the poorest people—according to a new report from Oxfam.

Well then - let's immediately strip every penny from these 85 people and share that money equally among those 3.5 billion of the poorest people. And then, when absolutely no appreciable difference is made in the lives of those 3.5 billion people by this act, let's maybe take a moment to realize that the dreaded problem of "income inequality" is just a fig leaf for self-righteous envy, and that the leftists who keep talking about this problem don't want it solved, they want it to grow and fester to give them cover for more taxes.

Anyone who stokes envy is a communist by any name.

Communism is a philosophy built on a foundation of envy. It falsely points to the "upper classes" as the cause of your own misery. Ironically, it manages to make someone else poorer without making you any richer.

The big problem here is that few know what “wealth” is... it is NOT money or income. A middle-class household with 2 moderate income-earners can have zero wealth if they are renting their home, are leasing their vehicles, have no stock portfolio, etc. A few hundred million people can easily fit in that mold, and have a net total wealth equal to that of your neighbor’s cat.

Barack Obama has 10,000 times the wealth of the poorest half of his relatives.

Despite all attempts at an even distribution of wealth, the top five NFL teams have more than FOUR TIMES as many wins as the bottom five, with most of them doing this several times in a row!

My wife had Brian Williams on. I was totally disgusted when he blathered about this. I yelled at the TV - “SO WHAT! THEN LET’S GET THE 3.5 BILLION TO MOVE UP!! GET THEM JOBS!”

Then he mentioned this as the major topic when world leaders meet in Davos.

To me it’s just prophetic. How else will the zeitgeist/groupthink allow the mark of the beast “...and no man rich or poor great or small could buy or sell without the mark of the beast...”. It’s under way.

Poor countries aren’t industrious and do not create wealth.

The fact that some Swede started a business, hired some people, increased the value of the property he bought, and created a $400,000 home on a $10,000 empty parcel of land, does not mean that all that wealth came at the expense of a man in Nairobi, who has lived in a mud hut for the same period of time and done nothing but subsistence farm.

Those two men are as unrelated as you can possibly get. Yet, this article would have you believe that the Swede’s wealth is the direct result of the African’s poverty.

Naturally, the Marxist media has the story bass ackwards.

Sub-Saharan Africa is getting close to a billion people. Most of them live in rotten countries with rotten economies. But most of the huge population growth in that area is due to help from the wealthy western countries who introduced health standards and food aid.

India has about one billion people. Virtually all of them were dirt poor before India's Marxist-from-independence economic policies were junked and capitalism was initiated only about twenty years ago. India now has rich people and a growing middle class.

China has over one billion people. They didn't start a free enterprise economic system until 1979 three years after Mao died. So instead of one billion poor people, they have half a billion.

Moral of story: many of the formerly poor people of the world are getting wealthier....thanks to capitalism and those ahem "greedy" super wealthy people who helped make it all possible.

Oxfam is an international confederation of 17 organizations working in approximately 90 countries worldwide to find solutions to poverty and related injustice around the world". "Oxfam works on trade justice, fair trade, education, debt and aid, livelihoods, health, HIV/AIDS, gender equality, conflict (campaigning for an international arms trade treaty) and natural disasters, democracy and human rights, and climate change."

What are we supposed to do about it? Are we supposed to take everybody’s money away and distribute it equally throughout the world?

The 3.5 billion poor people live in countries where the ruling class steals everything and deliberately keeps them starving and homeless. They would not allow the distributed money to be given directly to the poor masses and thus they would “distribute” it themselves. The poor would never see a penny.

Oxfam has a long history of liberal fraud and fake studies that get quoted as Gospel by the MSM.

Israel, abortion, gays, global warming, communism — they are a wolf on the wrong side of every issue -— all done in sheep’s clothing.

Love to see the data underlying this fake report -— be like the NFL suicide report -— nothing but an empty office and a fax machine for press releases.

Don’t know the current numbers, but around 10-15 years ago, half of the world’s 10 richest men lived in the Middle East.

Maybe the people should rise up against their sultans and monarchs.

Playing classwar games against productive industrialists is a joke.
